The development
WHO’s published programme for 20–25 July 2026 in Dushanbe described meetings on quality of care, patient safety and child and adolescent mental healthcare. The planned sessions included governance, incident reporting, leadership and improvement methods. The programme concerns the WHO European Region, which extends beyond the European Union.
Why it matters for medical travel
Our editorial reading is that patients should ask about systems as well as individual clinicians. Who records concerns? Who responds when something goes wrong? How do teams learn from incidents? Participation in a conference or training programme does not certify a particular clinic, and this announcement should not be used as an endorsement of a destination.
