Understand the decision
The person in the advertisement may not perform every stage. Ask for the name and professional role of the clinician responsible for your care, along with the roles of other team members. Confirm the arrangement directly with the practice instead of relying only on an agent.
Put it into practice
Request an explanation of supervision and what happens if the named clinician is unavailable. Ask how many procedures they will supervise that day. Save the answers with your booking documents. Clear accountability matters more than a vague promise that the procedure uses the latest technique.
Keep the bigger picture in view
A hair restoration consultation should start with a diagnosis and a long-term plan. Ask the clinician to document your baseline, the proposed approach and the alternatives you discussed, including the option of waiting.
Before making a commitment, take the written proposal to a qualified clinician who can assess your own circumstances. Use the questions below to record answers and identify anything still unresolved. Keep the plan, contact details and agreed next steps together so you can revisit the decision without relying on memory.
Questions to take with you
- Who is clinically responsible for my care?
- Which tasks are delegated and to whom?
- What happens if the named surgeon changes?
