The development
In a letter dated 20 April 2026, the HFEA said licence fees changed from 1 April. It listed £115 for each chargeable IVF treatment and £45 for a donor-insemination licence. These are regulatory charges described in the letter, not the total price of treatment for a patient or a published guarantee about clinic pricing.
Why it matters for medical travel
When comparing fertility quotes, avoid assuming that a regulatory change explains every price difference. Ask clinics to itemise their own charges and identify optional services.
